RESEARCH INTERESTS

My main research interests and expertise include the following:
- hierarchical Bayesian models and latent variable models for network data to flexibly and simultaneously account for different kinds of data and estimate missing data;
- models to cluster high-dimensional binary data with complex dependency structure;
- models for relational events, interdependent ego-networks and two-mode networks;
- regression models and computational tools for analysing heterogeneous and non-stationary spatial data;
- probabilistic procedures for loss event distributions and natural hazards;
- advanced computational algorithms (such as variational approaches) to deal with big data;
- design of R packages to make the research accessible to end users both in or outside academia;
- applications to various research areas in order to yield important practical impact.
