RESEARCH INTERESTS

My main research interests are centered in the areas of Uncertainty Quantification, Safety and Risk; with application to critical infrastructures.
In my research I have developed different techniques in this field and studied their application to different critical infrastructures.

Within this context of application, my main topics of research interest are:

- Development of new techniques for component and system reliability analysis;

- Uncertainty quantification and probabilistic assessment of systems;

- Multi-fidelity modelling for engineering systems as a support to decision-schemes;

- Risk and Resilience assessment in civil infrastructure.
