RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research focuses on computational mechanics, with an emphasis on developing robust and efficient numerical methods for solving coupled physical problems. A core interest is the use and advancement of the finite volume method for solid mechanics, including its integration with computational fluid dynamics for fluid–structure interaction (FSI). I also work extensively with the finite element method and am actively involved in high-performance computing, software development, and the application of open-source tools like OpenFOAM for scalable simulation.
Applications of my work span materials modelling, biomechanics, and renewable energy systems. I am particularly interested in the intersection of numerical simulation and machine learning, especially for acceleration and surrogate modelling. My group contributes to open-source software and reproducible computational science.
