RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research focuses on computational fluid dynamics, wind engineering and the resilience of civil infrastructure. I develop and apply numerical and experimental approaches to understand wind flows around bridges and the built environment, structural response to wind loading, and the interaction between flows, sediments and the seabed.

My work supports the safe, sustainable design and operation of infrastructure, including bridges, offshore renewable-energy systems and coastal and marine environments. I collaborate with industry, government agencies and infrastructure operators to combine modelling with field and experimental data, and my research contributes to the development of the next generation of wind-engineering standards, including the revised Wind Eurocode.
